God the creator made seven (7)days in a week and out of the seven, though He admires all of them, He admonished that we choose ONE DAY for Him and KEEP IT HOLY because that is His special day. Now as a human being, usually unfortunately, a lot of people maintain holiness only when they are fasting . That is when many abstain from anything that is not pleasant to the Lord. So, you choose one day for God usually a church service day and maintain holiness for the Lord. As a human being, your day of birth is also such a special day and as the Lord wants His holy, so must we.
WHAT IS FASTING?
You see, regardless of anybody’s faith, they call their first meal in the morning BREAKFAST, whether a Muslim, Christian or Hindu, we call the first meals breakfast and that is how I define fasting.
Between the night and the morning of a day, man usually sleeps. When you sleep you close your eyes to everything, even your favorite movies, games, social media, cars, relationships and anything that gives you pleasure. You also close your eyes to the pain, anger, pride, complaints and anything that get on your nerves. So FASTING is simply closing your eyes to everything else and being more of a spirit man and focusing on God alone. When you fast, you need to deny yourself of most of these things.
WHY FAST ON THE DAY OF BIRTH?
Job was an upright man, a friend of God who understood spiritual principles CURSED THE DAY HE WAS BORN (Job 3:1) after all the hardships that came upon him. It is simply because he understands that the day he was born has an influence on his destiny. On the day Jesus was born, the wise men (magicians) were right on time, on the same day because they understand spirituality. Your day of birth can either be a day for your blessing or a day for troubles(curses).
In Ezekiel 16:4-5 As for your nativity, on the day you were born your navel cord was not cut, nor were you washed in water to cleanse you, you were not rubbed with salt nor wrapped in swaddling cloths. No eye pitied you, to do any of these things for you, to have compassion on you, but you were thrown out into the open filed, when you yourself were loathed on the day you were born.
Bible says because of your nativity (clan /tribe/family) on the day of your birth your cord was not cut.
The CORD of a baby is what connects them to the mother (family). You see when a baby is born, the family is excited without anyone putting in mind that there may be some negative re-occurrences in the particular family about destinies such as marital problems, child bearing, luck of education, poverty, deviance and etc, so the new baby’s cord though physically cut, because they are received into the family those negative cords still apply to them.
When you read further, it says neither were you cleansed and washed with salt. To be cleansed is to be redeemed prayerfully by the blood of Jesus. You see, that second part of it is the solution, that the new born baby must be soaked and washed in the blood of Jesus and cleansed with salt by prayer. Salt is for purity and preservation, so prayerfully the new baby right on their day of birth must be made pure and preserved BUT out of excitement no one seems to do all these but verse 5 says on the day of birth you are left in the open space (anyone can just attack you or do anything to you). There are people who see a child’s destiny and may come to visit as helping them or celebrating their birth but could invoke curses on them. We live in a weird world beloved. Bible says on the day you were born no one had compassion on you.
Though your parents might not have done those prayers, it is never late to redeem yourself and ask to be cleansed and purified on the day you were born . That is your special day, like God’s it must be kept Holy.
If anyone wants to do anything against you, spiritually they usually would do so on the day of your birth. That is why you don’t allow just anyone to know when you were born.
Beloved, it is not just about curses but there are blessings for you available specially on the day you were born.
I therefore encourage FASTING ON YOUR DAY OF BIRTH in Jesus name. And that is to say either, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
